Texas Air Force Base Shooting: 2 Killed in Apparent Murder

Authorities were called to the scene at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Friday morning.

SAN ANTONIO, TX-Two people have been killed in a shooting that is an apparent murder-suicide at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The two people are believed to have been killed in a murder-suicide, James Keith of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office told reporters at a press conference. Keith said deputies were still sweeping the building to look for any additional victims however no other victims were found.

Fox San Antonio reported two Glock weapons were found at the scene.

Along with local authorities, the FBI and military police were responding to the scene. Keith said he anticipates that the investigation will be turned over to the FBI.

Keith did not provide any information on the identities of the victims. Authorities said there is no indication the shooting is related to terrorism.
