An upstate New York hospital was robbed of medication Saturday morning by a rifle-toting man claiming to have a bomb, according to officials.
Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, N.Y., was on lockdown for several hours.
Police said at a press conference that a "person of interest" was being questioned, but no one was in custody.
A man walked into Eastern Niagara at approximately 5 a.m. armed with two rifles and said he had a bomb, according to police. The man made off with some drugs, the hospital confirmed in a statement. There were no reported injuries.
Officers saw the suspect leave the emergency room, and the suspect allegedly dropped his guns and backpack and fled.
The bomb squad determined that a cell phone connected to wires inside the backpack was inert.
